Antique 20th-century 55" x 88" West African Indigo Bedcover

Among John Derian's trove of vintage and antique goods are textile panels. These panels can be used as a wall hangings, furniture covers, bedcovers or made into custom pieces. Historically made from hand-spun strip-woven cotton and dyed with fermented plant extracts. The deep blue tones served as a powerful symbol of wealth, spiritual protection, and technical master at the time.
